Who can donate through Milkdrop?
Milkdrop is for eligible lactating parents with extra milk beyond what their own family needs. Start with our short qualification check and we’ll guide you through the next steps based on your individual situation.
Do I have to commit before I apply?
No. The qualification check is simply a low-pressure way to understand whether Milkdrop may be a fit. You can ask questions and decide what feels right for your family before moving forward.
What does the screening process involve?
Qualified applicants complete a guided screening process, which may include health-history questions and required testing. We explain every step clearly and coordinate the details with you.
How long does it take to get started?

How is my milk handled?

Do you send the supplies I need?
Yes. Accepted donors receive the materials and step-by-step guidance needed to prepare and send eligible milk through the program.
Can I donate while also saving milk for my own family?
Absolutely. Your family comes first. Milkdrop is designed for parents who have an oversupply beyond what they plan to keep for their own baby or family.
Can I freeze-dry milk for my own family?
Yes. Qualifying donors can use points toward Leche freeze-dry products and services. Explore the Donate page for current service-kit options and details.

How do Milkdrop rewards work?
Eligible donors earn points for their approved donations. Those points can be redeemed for cash, partner products, or Leche products and services, subject to program terms and availability.
What is the value of my rewards?
Current Marketplace value is $1 per ounce for cash rewards, $2 per ounce toward partner products, and $3 per ounce toward Leche products and services. Your donor dashboard shows the rewards available to you.
When will I see my points?
Points are added after the appropriate program steps and any required hold or review periods. Your donor dashboard is the best place to follow your current activity and available rewards.
Can I choose which reward I use?
Yes. The Marketplace is designed to give you options, so you can choose what supports your family best in this season.
